Sharp intestinal pain?

Alright, first off I've had diarrhea for a couple of days after leaving the hospital so I took some immodium, which is supposed to slow the bowels down and thicken up the stool. Now I have a pain in the intestines. I thought maybe I took too much immodium or something but the pain is still persisting. It's a sharp kind of pain, sometimes it makes it hard to breathe and I can't walk or get up without hurting but really thick stuff is still coming out and I feel a little better when I use the bathroom. I just want a basic idea of what might be wrong since I'm probably going to see the doctor soon.
