if salmonella lives in the intestines and not in the meat. Also, if it is contaminated by shouldn't it only be on the outside of the skin?? So I don't understand why the center of the chicken needs to get heated so high.

Why does it feel like my guts itch?

I started taking Tylenol pm a while ago cuz I couldn't sleep. It was expired but I took it anyway. And it was also extra strength but I took 4 instead of 2 because 2 wouldn't put me to sleep. Anyway, the first time i took it I would get this extreme itching type of feeling inside me like my stomach or whatever but that was only if I woke up. Now I get that feeling at random times and sometimes it lasts all day. I haven't taken any pills in at least 2 weeks though. It's like this itching/tickling feeling in my stomach, guts, intestines, inside my rib cage...whatever. It's so weird and hard to explain. It used to go away if I ate but now it doesn't. What's wrong with me?

I'm a 16 year old boy, and quite worried. Over the past few months, I've been experiencing a cold sensation on the right side of my head. It's not painful, but really annoying. The past few months have also seen my gait change, in an embarrassing way. I walk in a bouncing motion, as my heels hit the floor first, this radiates up my leg and causes a bouncing movement. Recently, I've been muddling my words a lot, sometimes merging two words like familiar and similar, creating samiliar (this only occured once, but still!). I've also been a lot more tired, sometimes feeling lightheaded. I have already come up with a list of things that may be attributing to these problems, and these might help you guys give me an answer as to what is wrong with me. I've been carrying an extremely heavy school bag (one strap) for a good 4 years. This has led to having a neck problem - I became aware of this as my neck makes a clicking sound when I turn it - and may have induced a funny walk, considering it's hurt my back as well. My diet isn't the best either; I've made efforts with my five a day but eat A LOT of garbage. This may lead to me feeling tired as well as the fact that I rarely get my eight hours of sleep a day. Reading up on getting mixed with my words, I found that a lack of adequate sleep can lead to being at a loss for words, something I hope is the case here rather than something serious. What I'm really confused about is the cold sensation on the right side of my head. Incidentaly, my neck makes a clicking noise when I turn it to the right, but not the left. Does this mean that something may be out of place at the top of my spinal chord?? If so, this could link back to a funny walk, not sure. Please help!

Has anyone re-located to Phoenix from another city? How was/is your experience? I currently live in Chicago (born & raised) and am thinking of relocating. I live in the inner city and am used to lots of noise, plenty people, and a vast of activities and places to see at all times/hours of the day. I know I can't expect Phoenix to be as fast paced as it is here in Chicago and my options of entertainment might be limited but that's fine as I'm looking for something more low-key for my family (I have two young children). How are the people? Are they friendly? We (here) have heard so many stories about Arizona government and officials, I know some must be exaggerations..are people racist toward latinos? Excuse me for being offensive but I don't want my family to be judged upon either (well, beyond the normal amount). How are the jobs? Schools? Restaurants (we are self labeled "foodies")? How is the crime? Please remember that while we live in one of the most notorious neighborhoods in Chicago we still feel safe and take comfort in knowing our community. Okay so in my house our Sky + is missing, the card. My sister, her boyfriend, my dad and I have been the only ones in the house and we're unsure on how it could have happened and my mother has been pestering me "did you leave the door open? Her parents hates me and threatens me, ect our relationship is miserable but we want to stay together..advice?

We're both girls' so we knew that her parents wouldn't condone this, and her mom REALLY doesn't like it all. In fact, she hates it. My parents don't care and I put up with her mom. Puppy has dead worms in feces?

We've had our puppy for about 3 weeks (he's about14 weeks old now), and he's been a bit of a troublemaker :) First he picked up coccidia and an internal bacteria, and now I worry we have some more problems. He's had 2 fecal tests (the last one about a week and a half ago) and has never been positive for roundworm eggs but we just gave him a dewormer and noticed him pooping out dead ones (at least in all my research that's what they appear to be)! He was also dewormed twice by the breeder, the last time about a week before we picked him up, and started taking heartguard plus the first week we had him (June 13). Is it possible that these could just be lingering adults that died in his intestines during his deworming (he was sick immediately upon picking him up, so maybe he was unable to pass them) and are just now passing through, or is it possible that he passed to fecal floats while still carrying the roundworm parasite (which I believe is pretty unlikely). I'm driving my wife crazy with all my worrying and I'm taking a sample in to the vet tomorrow to be sure, but if anyone has any experiences that could bring piece of mind so I can sleep tonight, that would be awesome! I found a large lump in my breast that is getting bigger...?

A few months ago I noticed a rather large lump near the top of my right breast. I have recently lost about 50 lbs and thought maybe the change in shape could just be from weight loss. I also considered that since I had been working out that maybe it was just muscle that had developed. The lump has seemed to grow in size and is now a little bigger than a golf ball. At times it is tender to the touch and feels much different than my left breast. I know I should go to the Dr but I currently don't have insurance. I start a new job with medical benefits in a couple of months and was hoping to put off a Dr's visit until then. My main concern is going in.. finding out I have cancer... and then not being able to get coverage because of being labeled "previous condition" I really don't want to worry my family or friends so I haven't really mentioned it to anyone. I want to be sure before I put them through any of that. I'm afraid of waiting to long to go but more afraid of being a burden to my family.

All this is because of your way of thinking, over analyzing yourself, and self centerdness! Your so stuck in your own head with so many negative thoughts, you end up feeling depressed and so on. Medication, therapy, and so on is not the answer! Those things are only for temporary use! Getting a life is the real answer, getting your mind involved with other people, job, career, sports, volunteer work, interests, activities, exercise, hobbies, spirituality, etc! That's exactly what I did and I overcame all that stuff and I had been in 15 hospitals, attempted suicide, was diagnosed clinically depressed, personality disorder, you name it. I had seen like 50 therapists over a 10 year period. Finally when a therapist told me how self centered I was, and self analytical, the light went on. I began to make big changes in my life and get out of myself and got myself a life. Funny how once my life and thoughts changed and I involved myself in many productive things in life and helping other people, I got well!

I have a creepy fascination with death, its turning bad?

i am a 15 (almost 16) year old girl and i have a very strong fascination with death, i used to be extremely suicidal, but have toned it down. however since then i have been having dreams and fantasies about death, i love anything and everything that has to deal with death! it did not bother me till my mother started to call me morbid because of things i would say. and wen i was joking around with my friends about different threats mine was " im going to skin you alive,gut you hang you by your intestine, throw u in a boiling pit of acid and watch u burn, then play slip in slide in your blood." i was kidding of course!!!! but the fact that it came out so easy and seemed well thought out scared me. not to mention when i meet someone i can picture a way to kill them in my head...i would never ever harm someone its beyond my nature im to kind and loving but these things scare me deeply. i often blame my past, for i grew up in a very bad environment, but i just dont know anymore, i feel so....insain.

I have Crohn's too, I've had my descending colon removed through serious infection, and have a colostomy. I'm on heavy medication, and on a low fibre diet constantly. I'm not the best one to answer, as I've become anorexic, but you really need to speak to a dietitian, there are supplement drinks you can have on prescription, which are full of the nutrients you need, I used to take supplementary pills too. I drink plenty of water, as I dehydrate easily, fizzy drinks are a big no-no, as is anything containing milk for me too. Peppermint tea is good for settling the tummy.

Does anyone else never know what they want to do and are just generally lost?

Ever since leaving school(which was a major shock) i've just drifted through life never knowing what i should do and always looking at other people wanting to be their lives. Problem with an older guy?

So theres this guy. His name is Ryan. He is 15, im 13. We like eachother a lot. So 2 days ago (June 27th 2011) I sold an item on Ebay and I put it in my mailbox at around 1:00PM. The mail man usually arrives at my house at around 4:00PM. not at all uncommon for old dogs to develop harmless fat tumors. They can be unsightly but unless they are in a pressure point area seldom ever cause discomfort. Most vets recommend leaving them alone unless they cause discomfort or get very large. You do need to have a vet look at it though just to make sure it isn't something else. Cushings disease does cause symptoms Yes tumors also noticeable increase in water intake, noticeably thinning of and often courser coat waning energy levels weight gain. It can be managed with treatment though. If your dog does have these symptons then having her seen by a new vet is exactly what I would do. I would never accept the answer this vet gave you.

I graduated college five years ago. parvo is usually only contracted in puppies under the age of 6 months. I'm going to assume that your dog that is almost a year old was never vaccinated for parvo ( or else she would not be sick) You need to keep the dogs separated and you need to make sure you are washing your hands after every feeding and every time you touch her. Your clothing, shoes, socks, everything should be changed after interaction with the infected dog. As for the urine, you need to call your vet asap and tell them about any new symptoms that occur ( as they could make a life & death difference) Parvo is cureable so keep doing everything you can!! And for god sakes get all your dogs up to date on vaccines ( when healthy) so this doesn't happen again!! Good luck!!

Dog not eating, loosing weight, drops of blood coming from vagina.Vet can't find anything wrong!?

My dog is a German Shepard-Pitbull mix. 9 yrs old...About two months ago we noticed she lost weight.Took her to vet, vet said she is fine, most dogs are overweight and she is perfect..A month later she kept loosing more weight, again took her to different vet this time. They checked her stool, normal. They took blood test, normal...Took another blood test to see if it is a intestine disease which is common in German Shepard's, it only showed that her white blood cells were off and vet put her on a special food to get those white cells normal..My dog keeps loosing more weight. They thought it was UTI and gave her antibiotics, not the case. She stopped eating and hardly drinks. They took X-rays, nothing showed up..Another blood test, again nothing...Finally we did and Ultrasound, they can't find absolutely anything wrong. She is home know, hardly can move, we saw few drops of blood from her vagina. Vet put her on different type of antibiotics....I think my dog is dying and don't know that to do... After $1000 spent on all the test, no one can tell me what is wrong with my dog....Please help! Did anyone experience anything like this???? I don't know what else to do.

Left Side Spasms- Could this be IBS or something more serious?

Recently (within the last year) I have had random left side spasms and pain in what feels to be my intestines. My doctor gave me dulcolax and miralax to take daily for two months because I go about two weeks in between bowel movements. I've been taking them since Thursday and I've only had one bowel movement, but I was due for one anyway because it's been almost two weeks. On Friday I had constipation pain so bad I was crying. Then I threw up. I don't know if it was from the pain or the medicine though. But it hurt so so bad. It felt like my intestines were being ripped. I'm 26 and have had IBS with constipation ever since the birth of my last child 1 1/2 yrs ago. My symptoms tend to be worse during my period, and my period just ended yesterday. I've been EXTREMELY gassy for the past 3 days, but have not been able to have a bowel movement. Well, today, I had a bowel movement early this morning. It was normal in appearance, but I got zero relief after it. Later on, I tried to go to the bathroom again, and it was able to get out a little bit of softer bm. Tonight, I tried again (since I still don't feel any relief), and I got out a couple of normal pieces of bm. My issue is that the more that I get out, the worse I feel. It almost feels as though my intestines are bruised. If I lay down, my stomach is nowhere near as sore, but the minute I stand up and attempt to do anything, the soreness returns. My dog swallowed a plum seed!?

My shih tzu dog, almost 2 years old has swallowed a plum pit whole, that is about one inch long and 2/3 inch wide. My dog is about 8-9 lbs and she has been vomiting a few times, but has stopped. She seems pretty normal except a bit tired and she did go poo, but there was no sign of a plum pit. I am very worried because she is a small dog and I am afraid if it will get lodged in her intestines. Alright, first off I've had diarrhea for a couple of days after leaving the hospital so I took some immodium, which is supposed to slow the bowels down and thicken up the stool. Dog throwing up for 9 days and not eating?

5 yrs old american bull dog,9 days ago started eating her food very slow, she did this for about 4 days then stop eating and has only had about half a cup of plain can dog food, xrays on her stomach and intestines are clear of blockage, blood work came back normal, she will drink water but i can only give her about 1/2 cup at a time, the smell of any food makes her want to throw up now, she is loosing weight, vet has given her pills for her stomach and pepsid, if she throws up now just liquid , no blood shown and is urinating. Jailbroken iPod Touch Theme Doesn't Show Theme Lockscreen?

Alright, so I have a new iPod Touch 4G running on 4.3.3 firmware. For every theme I have downloaded from Cydia, (I.E Mac Collision) everything works but the theme's lockscreen wallpaper and slider/unlock method; it just shows the background I had before jailbreaking and the normal slide to unlock. The only things I have checked in Winterboard are the ones for the theme, as well as no Undocked or Docked icon labels. On my 3G iPod I had before it was stolen, the lockscreens worked just fine, and there were no new updates for the themes. Can someone please tell me step by step how to fix this problem, whether it be an SSH thing or something else. Much thanks

She is actually brown and she has the design on her back like an Americana might have. She is orange in some spots but barely and has any. She has a white belly, and dark brown sports all on her back mostly on her wings and none on her head. Am I crazy or is this normal?

When I'm sick with a high fever I hear voices. I can't make out what they are saying but usually they are fighting and yelling and it varies of being a man and woman yelling or two men yelling. It sounds like I can hear them through a thick wall because their voices are muddled. I feel half awake and drift in and out of sleep but I can still hear them when I'm sleeping. You might have put too much in but you'll have to experiment more to find out. Sometimes I use Epsom salt/water spray to enhance my curls, but I use a bit of leave-in conditioner when I do this to avoid crunch. I'm not sure if it's the type of salt I use or the leave-in but I almost never get crunch. I'm not sure how to fix it. When my hair gets crunch I usually put it up in a high ponytail. O.k. I don't know what this could be but I know something that may help the symptoms. You can go out to the store and get a disposable enema bottle of solution. Take the enema, hold it in for about 5 mins (or less is you cant hold it) and then release it. Then I wouls suggest taking a suppository. (many people dont know what this is but it is basically a pill that is inserted rectallyabout an inch and a half up the rectum and this helps with constipation.) You could also take a couple of tums. P.S. you could do the enema and the suppository by yourself or you could have a close friend, wife or girlfriend administer them for you if you are a little nervous. Feel better sweetie!!! :)

How long does it take for constipation to turn into an obstruction?

I'm going on 3 weeks with very little BMs. When I go, they are like small rocks or seems too thick. (sorry for gross visual). I've tried enemas, stool softeners, more liquids, and more fiber. Nothing has helped. I feel very bloated and my stomach looks a little distended. I've had very bad nausea but didn't throw up. I won't let myself. I take whey protein shakes 2 times a day after each workout I blend it and put half a banana in it. I do this 2 times a day and in between I'll have a grilled cheese sandwich. I read each label on all the foods and rounded the calories to about 600 calories plus I might have a very small dinner so that adds up too about 700 calories...is this good or should I add something to my diet??

The parvo came back negative and the xrays showed inflamed intestines. I go home with flagyl and a week later shes still sleeping and diarrhea, the vomiting had not started then. So I made an appointment with my regular vet who said continue with the flagyl but I also told my vet when I lift my puppy up she grunts like it hurts her. The vet checked her out by pushing up and down her spine. She said she feels I am dealing with two issues (the inflamed intestines from me switching food too often) and also a possible bulging disk which is common in beagle breeds. She sent me home with rimadyl and as soon as I walked in the door, my puppy was acting better from the rymadly. Well we are almost 3 weeks into the rimadyl and she has no more left for the past 3 days. She doesnt want to move and when she does she can SOMETIMES be wobbly and/or her legs shake. WHen I get her to walk she does ok. Today she did not want to eat. I mixed in yogurt and she ate it fine but now is throwing up. She is drinking fluids and going to the bathroom. I called the vet earlier who said we will put her oon the rimadyl for one more week and if she doesnt get better she wants to see her again. Heres the problem: Im unemployed, there is nothing Ive found in my area that helps with cost (Buffalo, Ny) and Ive already spent $800 in vet bills. Is it possible that a dog can get sick from not being on her meds anymore? Im worried all these vets are giving me wrong diagnoses and I really cant keep paying for all of this.

Why do I always have diarrhea 30 minutes after eating Taco Bell?

It doesn't make sense. I'm pretty sure 30 minutes isn't enough time for the Taco Bell to get all the way through my digestive system and be converted to diarrhea. That means whatever is coming out has to have been in my system beforehand. And if that's the case, why is it coming out as diarrhea? Still have Thrush please help.?I went to see my dr last a couple weeks ago for various reasons she looked in my throat and saw a white film did a test and I had thrush. Well she gave me fluconase? 1oo mg 1 x a day for 5 days and 300 ml of nystatin oral suspension 3x a day 2 teaspoons. I still have while crap on my tounge and taste yeast when i burp. The nystatin is almost gone and I have been off of the fluconase a few days now. How will i know when it is gone and how do i get the crap off my tounge? I bought 12 toothbrushes in the morning i bush and scrub and use the nystatin 6 hrs later i just use the nystatin then i brush and scrub in the evening and use it and throw the brush away. I dunno what else to do, my main question is how will i know when it is gone and isnt in my intestines or throat and how do i get the crap outta my mouth. I have been on a diabetic diet i havent had much bread or sugar.

13 year old boy has a Inguinal Hernia and surgery?

As stated, im a 13 year old boy who has a Inguinal Hernia and i just found out yesterday. Im really freaking out. I know the surgery wont be life-threatening (except for the anasethia) but im really scared.
