Do you throw up from the stomach or intestines?

When you vomit, you are bringing up the contents of your stomach. You cannot vomit the contents of your intestines under normal circumstances due to valves that prevent food from going back up. Also your intestines move the food forward by muscle action which helps prevent food from going back the wrong way.
