13 year old boy has a Inguinal Hernia and surgery?

As stated, im a 13 year old boy who has a Inguinal Hernia and i just found out yesterday. Im really freaking out. I know the surgery wont be life-threatening (except for the anasethia) but im really scared. I can feel my small intestine in my scrotum and the shape and everything and ive actually saw a little bit more seep into my scrotum over the past few weeks (i was just diagnosed yesterday but i thought i noticed something weird these past weeks) and its really tramatizing, to thing my small intestine is in my scrotum and its only getting deeper in. I have no one to talk to about it. My dad had it 10 years ago apparently but we dont have that relationship where i can talk abouy down there and itd just be really akward. Im just wondering if theres anyone out there who Is around the same age as me who had this problem and got it fixed that can comfort me and tell me what the surgery was like and everything, and dont not tell me something or lie just cause theres something that is bad or it might mAke me scared, i want comfort, but i also want the truth.
